Due to an increasing demand from patients who do not want
metal of any description in their mouths, a biocompatible alternative implant
has been developed.
To date only Titanium (metal) implants have been available.
We are the first practice in the UK to place Zirconium implants from
White Sky and Z-Systems.
Most of the crowns on top of the implants are manufactured with a CEREC
3D cad/cam system,
which cuts the crowns from a Vita Ceramic ingot.
So far I find the 98% success rate comparable to conventional titanium
implants.
Should any patients request a non-metal alternative I would be happy to
be of assistance.
